The HME Filters are specifically designed to provide better quality sleep therapy, and they are a hygienic and easy option to use instead of a traditional heated humidifier.
The filter works by capturing the heat and moisture of the patient’s exhalations, and then directing it back to him as they inhale. The filter attaches right between the CPAP Mask and the tubing, and offers a steady flow of therapy air throughout sleep therapy.
Important note: The HME Filter must be changed as needed – usually weekly, when used and exposed to air daily
