ResMed’s AirSense 11 Autoset is a new, innovative Auto-CPAP machine that guarantees easy and comfortable therapy throughout the night. It is light, compact and super quiet (only 27 dBA) and comes with a built in heated humidifier and an array of other features (SmartStart, Autoramp, EPR, Climate Control, smaller power consumption, etc.) that ensure the smoothest, most reliable CPAP therapy throughout the night.
MAIN ELEMENTS:
Power Consumption: AirSense 11 Autoset runs on a 65 Watt power supply, which allows it to save energy by using less power compared to traditional power supplies.
AutoSet Algorithm: When flow limitations are detected, this algorithm gently increases the pressure until the event is over, and then proceeds to slowly decrease pressure again, for extra comfort throughout the night. Additionally, AirSense 11 AutoSet differentiates between obstructive and central sleep apnea, and ensures you are provided with the best possible therapy, adjusted to your changing needs.
ClimateLineAir™ Heated Tubing: If you choose to start your therapy with the HumidAir Heated Humidifier, ResMed recommends the ClimateLineAir Heated Tubing, compatible only with specific CPAP & BiLevel machines from ResMed. The advanced Climate Control technology detects leaks, pressure flow and temperature changes, and adapts to them to provide the ideal pressure and humidity levels.
Built-in Humidifier: ResMed’s integrated Humidifier is directly built into the machine, making it significantly smaller in size and easier to use. The humidifier can be adjusted manually or automatically through the Climate Control technology.
Autoramp: The AutoRamp feature facilitates the therapy process as soon as you turn on your machine. AutoRamp delivers a low pressure, so as to help the patient fall asleep and, once it detects that the patient is sleeping, it gently increases the pressure level, to make sure that the user receives the amount of air flow necessary for the treatment.
EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief): ResMed’s EPR feature provides respiratory comfort during the night. EPR is a high sensitivity algorithm, which reduces pressure at the minimum possible level during exhalation and adapts to the patient’s breathing cycle. It comes with three (3) adjustment levels (1 is minimum Pressure Relief and 3 is maximum Pressure Relief) and with the option to be completely turned off.
SmartStart Function: The SmartStart function starts your therapy as soon as you wear your mask. Once the mask is removed, it automatically stops after a few seconds.
Wireless Communications: Thanks to ResMed’s Wireless Communications system, you can have access to your therapy data and remotely change the settings anytime, just by contacting the provider through e-mail or telephone and requesting a setting adjustment or a therapy report. Keep in mind that, if you want to make a request, you have to make sure your machine has been plugged in for at least 24 hours.
MyAir Personalized Therapy Support: MyAir is an optional online program from ResMed, that provides personalised support throughout the treatment. It helps you set your personal treatment goals, and rewards you once you have achieved them. With myAir you will always have the motivation to continue a successful treatment. MyAir is user-friendly and simple to use, and includes helpful icons and charts. MyAir motivates the user by providing milestones with awards and badges.

This machine is wonderful! Touch screen and gentle air flow as well as ease of making the settings that you need make it possible for those of us not in reach of a person to take care of these things to get the treatment we need. It is sleek and has possibilities that are most useful if you also get the washable tub that uses potable water as distilled water is not always available. It is lightweight, too, thus the carrying case will make it easy to take when traveling. I have used many CPAPs since 1992 when first diagnosed and this is the best.
